Form CPO-PQR Reporting

Form CPO-PQR Reporting

You’re already doing the work for Form CPO-PQR

Form CPO-PQR requires NFA Member CPOs to disclose firm and pool information to the CFTC each quarter, filed through the NFA's EasyFile system.

Most of what it asks for, you're already producing. Pool positions and instruments, manager and fund information, performance figures, and static data on your custodians, administrators and brokers all overlap with what you assemble for Form PF and Annex IV. Yet CPO-PQR is typically run as a separate exercise each quarter, so the same data gets gathered, validated and reformatted a second time, in EasyFile's format, purely because it's a different regulator's form.

How FundApps automates Form CPO-PQR

FundApps takes your pool and fund data through to a filing-ready submission:
Brings pool positions and instruments, manager and fund information, performance figures, and third-party static data (custodians, administrators, brokers) into one structured dataset.
Manages preparation, validation, review, and approval in one place, with a complete audit trail.
Generates the CPO-PQR in the XML format NFA EasyFile requires.

Key benefits

Industry-specific legal & regulatory data with FundApps Sensitive Industries. Number 1 in front of a wavelength created by orange dots.

Consistent data across every filing

CPO-PQR draws on the same pool and position data as Form PF and Annex IV. Preparing them from one validated source keeps your figures consistent across every report, removing a real governance risk: reporting different numbers for the same positions to different regulators.

Prepare your data once

The data behind CPO-PQR is largely what you already assemble for your other quarterly reports. Prepare it once and reuse it, rather than running the same gather-and-validate exercise a second time each quarter, along with the rekeying errors that come with it.

A validated, filing-ready submission

FundApps validates the data and generates your CPO-PQR in the exact XML format NFA EasyFile requires, with a full audit trail. What you submit is already checked and correctly formatted, not hand-assembled against the deadline.

In a nutshell

CPO-PQR is one more quarterly report drawing on data you're likely already preparing for Form PF and Annex IV. FundApps uses that overlap to turn it into a shared, repeatable process: one dataset, one validation and review workflow, and a CPO-PQR generated filing-ready for NFA EasyFile. Instead of standing up another manual exercise for another regulator, you fold it into the reporting process you already run.

FAQs

What is Form CPO-PQR?

Form CPO-PQR is the CFTC's reporting framework for Commodity Pool Operators, filed through the NFA's quarterly Form PQR on the EasyFile system. It collects information about the CPO and about each commodity pool it operates, including positions, performance, and third-party service providers.

Who has to file Form CPO-PQR?

NFA Member CPOs with reporting obligations under CFTC Part 4. In broad terms, any CPO operating at least one pool for which it must be registered is required to file quarterly firm and pool information through EasyFile.

When is Form CPO-PQR due?

Quarterly, within 60 days of each calendar quarter end, the same window as Form PF.

How does CPO-PQR relate to Form PF and Annex IV?

They share most of their data and process: positional and instrument data, manager and fund information, and performance figures, all on a quarterly cycle. That overlap means firms can prepare the underlying data once and produce all three from one platform, rather than rebuilding it for each.
