Keeping pace with the volume and accuracy of the Financial Instruments Reference Data System (FIRDS) data has been a significant challenge for all in the industry.
Since we implemented the FIRDS register in our Rapptr Shareholder Disclosure platform, our client community have benefited greatly in being able to keep on top of FIRDS with ease.
With the recent release of v40,000 of Rapptr, the team looks back with particular fondness at v39,976 which brought about the implementation of the FIRDS Delta File into the FundApps Shareholding Disclosure service.
The FIRDS Delta file is published by ESMA each morning by 09:00 CET/08:00 GMT and contains all records for which a change has occurred since the previous set of files. A change could be deemed as an addition, modification or deletion.
To give an example of volume; on the 11th December, the Delta File contained 73,011 new listings compared to the previous business date.
In supporting all FIRDS files published by ESMA, FundApps makes sure our customers’ positions are always checked against the latest version of FIRDS, ensuring their results are as accurate as possible.
